  • The Ground Work in Tinting Your Residential Window

First, measure your window’s size. Second, clean it with a glass cleaner, and then spray it with your DIY solution. The solution must be composed of 1 quart bottled water and ¼ teaspoon of no tears baby shampoo. Have a lint-free towel to avoid little particles getting in between the tint and the window.

Accordingly, unroll the film tint on a flat and clean surface. You have to spray your solution again on the window’s surface ’til the soapy water runs down. Then, remove the liner of the mirror tint for windows. Handle the tint with care like an aluminum foil to avoid creasing. Attach 3 to 4 inches of tape to the front and back surface of the film’s corner, and you need to pull it apart quickly to remove the liner. To break any static cling, spray your homemade solution to the exposed adhesive liberally.
